Help!

i'm trying to use this site for networking, but i can't seem to get the ball rolling. i need help with learning Japanese, and it's really hard to try to do by yourself, especially with all the enunciations. (and i refuse to pay a million dollars for a kit) does anyone already know what they're doing and would be willing to help? mostly i want to learn how to read and write, but i would also like to understand the spoken part.
