As a suggestion from our last meet-up, we are looking to have a Gyoza making and eating party!
Venue will probably be at someone's house, volunteer's welcome! Gyoza is the fried dumplings that we usually get as appetizers at a Japanese restaurant. They come in many flavors in Japan as opposed to the usual pork ones we get here in the states. I am hoping we can make two or three kinds depending on people's tastes. Suggestions on types would be appreciated. Initial thoughts are shrimp, Nira (chinese garlic)/vegetarian and pork. Look forward to seeing you all there!

It was great to see everyone again and two new folks showed. We all enjoyed vegetarian, scallop, pork and shrimp gyoza! I can't believe we ate something like 200 gyoza! We should do this again, maybe in the winter!

I remember traveling through Hakone and we stopped at this gyoza restaurant that had gyoza that size of your hand! I want to try to make those again!

    •  It was very well organized, and I had such a great time! It was awesome meeting both Japanese people and others interested in Japanese food and culture. I am looking forward to future events!

It was really fun to make Gyoza! It was a perfect variety of Gyoza (Regular Pork, Scallop, Shirimp and Veggie) and we enjoyed the taste of them and of course really enjoyd the conversation! Thank you for organizing the party!
