J.C.'s message as the new organizer of J-Rock NYC

Hello! My name's J. C. Kaelin, and I'm an audio/visual publisher/archivist. I'm into great & timeless sounds & images, much of which I restore & sell. My stuff's in films, docs, songs, books, etc. I have many interests, and one of the most driving is my commitment to providing J-Music & Japanese & Asian musicians a happy home in NYC. This I intend to do by bringing out audiences to their shows, communicating through my blog just how wonderful these bands are and why, and in sharing my enthusiasm for what I consider to be the most interesting music on the planet right now to anyone who will listen :) .

The J-Rock NYC meetup group is committed to supporting J-music & Japanese & Asian musicians in NYC. We love this music (and I do mean "love"!) and we feel it's our obligation to come out and see & hear perform all the great J-Music & Asian bands both from the NYC and from abroad, and we make it our business to make them feel that they are appreciated, loved & respected! We're a loyal lot of j-rock, j-pop, j-punk, j-funk & j-whatever-you-like lovin' folks that really want to see j-music succeed in NYC. We are beyond enthusiastic - we are true believers in these extraordinary art forms and we will work to make certain that this great musical culture grows and matures and brings joy to all the people we seek to bring together in love of it ;) .

If you're a NYC Metropolitan j-music fan, you have an obligation to help make NYC a friendly place for our Asian music family to live!

If you're a j-music band anywhere in the world who wants to perform in NYC, you'll want to join this group so that you can connect to your fan base here and so that we can come out to your shows when you come here!

Paradoxically, the j-bands here in NYC are making some of the best j-rock and j-pop anywhere, yet j-music events here have been too few in number and too low in attendance. It's not the bands or promoters fault - it isn't anyone's fault - unless a means by which to change all this comes up and isn't used - & sistaladies & bruthamen, that means is here now & we want you to use us!

So whether you're someone who loves what we love or are exploring j-music for the first time, we'd all be happy to have you as a member and we hope you will join us in helping to make NYC the capitol of J-Music in the whole US of A!!!!!*
