Hajimemashite! I've been studying Japanese for a while on my own, and have finally decided to major in it at the U. I'd love to meet some people to practice with or just to make new friends.
If you are American, what level of Japanese do you speak? Have you ever been to Japan? Why are you interested in Japanese?
My Japanese is not as good as it used to be, but I'm at a decent conversational level right now. I have been to Japan 3 times on vacation, mainly to Tokyo and Kyoto. I've been interested in Japan since middle school, due to some exchange students.
If you are Japanese, how long have you lived in America? Are you interested in this meetup as a way to improve your English, or just to have fun and make friends?
