- Hola! I did the teach-English-in-Jap
an thing for 3 years in Sendai a while back, but my Japanese has been getting pretty rusty since I returned. I'd love the chance to practice and meet others who love Japan! - What made you interested in learning the Japanese language?

Originally, it was to read as-yet-untranslated manga, (how typical!) but I now its more due to having friends in Japan and wanting to keep my skills (though I do still love to translate books and comics!)
- Are you Japanese, or do you have Japanese family? If so, how did they influence your interest in Japanese culture?

Nope, I'm pure gaikoku-jin. ;)
- If you got a chance to visit Japan or live there, where would you go and why?

Well, I *did* get a chance to live there, and I luckily was assigned the best town ever - Dallas' sister city, Sendai. *Loved* that place - green trees, perfectly sized, and the famous Tanabata Festival! Can't wait to visit there again someday.
