Hello, my name is Virgil and my wife is Japanese. Recently we moved back to the States from Japan and my wife is having a really hard time adjusting. I was wondering if there is any Japanese woman within the group that can relate that can e-mail or call my wife and just talk to her. If so, please e-mail her at ayako_mibu@hotmail.com or call 469-288-7734. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi Virgil,

Where in Japan is Ayako from?

I know this might sound like a silly question, but people from the different regions tend to feel most comfortable with those from their own "hometown" area. Food, customs, social interactions, etc. all tend to vary.

You might want to take her to the Asian Festival on Saturday, May 3, 2008. It will be held at Dallas City Hall Plaza, 1500 Marilla Street, Dallas, TX, 75201 between 11:00am -5:00pm. I will actually be there with The Keola Foundation, whose booth is scheduled to be close to the childrens section, so stop on by and say "hi" ... maybe we could talk you two into dancing a hula or two. biggrin

She is from Nango, which is in the northern prefecture of Aomori and on the border of Iwate prefecture.

Thanks for the heads up! smile
