日英ミートアップパーティー ~定期イベントのお知らせ~
The meetup is on the second Tuesday of each month, UPSTAIRS at the Crooked Surgeon Pub. This is from 19:30 to 23:00. It's close to Leicester Square and China town. There is good space to chat to people in Japanese and English. It is very informal but all are there to chat.

The pub is on Lisle Street which is off the bottom end of Wardour Street (near O Neils, Won Kei and just South of China Town's Gerrard Street). Lisle Street is on the corner where Waxy's Little Sister (pub) is.

It was the first time for me. People are friendly but because of the soccer match, it was not easy to speak with people. I forgot to thanks the two guys who wanted to give me their help because of the rain. I was not polite and forgot to ask your names. Hope seeing you again.

Hmmm, that was tricky with the sheer volume of the football and heat. After constant talks with the co-manager, we had a constructive chat at the end. Saying that a lot of people enjoyed the football and the "English" atmosphere. Interesting! Things should be better (and quieter!) next time though. There's also talk of having some Japanese music in the background (QUIETLY!). Thanks for the attendance, I chatted to plenty more Japanese people, which was great. ja mata kondo ne!

I had a fun night out.It was great to meet so many new people. Although football was distraction we met those we dont normally would meet. Thanks PAUL for a fantastic meet up i hope i am not always as busy so i can attend. I guess my japanese is bound to improve mg
    •  great meetup as usual...but the footie was quite loud and made conversation almost impossible :p it ended for some of us in another japanese bar where we kept on talking japanese. great night! :)
    •  When I arrived I discovered from posters on the wall that the group started at 7pm not 7.30pm as the email reminder had said. So I walked in and the room was really full of people and I didn't know who to approach to introduce myself. I left after about 5minutes! I will try and come again next month at 7pm this time and hopefully meet some people at the beginning.

    •  This was my first meeting and I didn't realise it started at 7, I thought it was half 7! but none the less I enjoyed it. I stayed for about an hour and a half and spoke a little japanese. Next time I vow to seek to speak as much japanese as I can! Well worth coming to though, I will definitely be coming again.
    •  My first visit but too noisy (music too loud), too hot and difficult to hear a foreign language properly
