“ It was no trouble to meet people, but perhaps there could have been some games or activities to help break the ice with a greater number of people. I've been to the French meetup once and there was a quiz in French (about France and French things) which was good fun and stretched my language skills. It was certainly fantastic that there were so many Japanese people there, as I'm a beginner and keen to listen and speak as much Japanese as possible, even though I am still very slow. But they were all very kind and were all happy to slow down to help me understand and attempt to speak, and I'm sure as I attend more of these, I'll continue to improve and gain confidence in the future.
