Introduction
I'll be a grad student at WashU in the fall, and I'm looking for a group to practice my Japanese and have a good time. I spent 3 years on the Izu peninsula, and I'm going back this summer. But, come August I'll be looking forward to meeting up.
How did you become interested in Japanese language?
Lived and worked in Japan for 3 years.
What Japanese cultural activities are you most interested in?
飲み会、茶道、カラオケ、麻雀、etc.
If you are from or have ever been to Japan, what do you miss most about it? Or, what do you look forward to most when you go next time?

What would you like to gain or take away from the Japanese Language Meetup?
I'd like to maintain or even improve my Japanese, make new friends, and be able to do Japanese activities that are difficult to come across (especially 麻雀).
